I. Certified Food Protection Manager Information
- Certification requirements for food managers are covered under Indiana statute 410 IAC 7-22.
- Several organizations offer nationally accredited food safety manager certification programs and examinations utilizing the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) (including but not limited to):
- Listed below are providers for local training options training and one or more of the approved examinations from the aforementioned accredited testing organizations:
- Please see the new law that affects Home Based Vendors. Indiana House Bill 1149 was recently passed and took effect July 1, 2022. As a part of this new legislation, all HBVs are now required to take a recognized food safety training and must provide a copy of the certificate to the local health department in the county where the HBVs residence is located.
- A valid certified Food Manager/Handler Certificate must include the following accreditation:
