Prevention and Outreach

Hannah Lencheck, she/her, Prevention Coordinator: Hannah Lencheck is the Prevention Coordinator at Youth Services Bureau. In her position at YSB, she focuses on promoting safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments for youth, families, and youth workers. Prior to joining YSB, Hannah spent more than 7 years at Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, working with community members to address the root causes of hunger. Her expertise is in prevention, advocacy, and policy & practice change, but she is also an avid flower gardener and can often be found walking her dog, Diesel, on the B-line.

Marlee J. Case, she/her, Youth Prevention Specialist: Marlee J. Case is the Youth Prevention Specialist at the Youth Services Bureau of Monroe County. Originally from Elkhart, Indiana, Marlee came to Bloomington in 2011 for undergrad and fell in love with the community. It was here she discovered her passion for serving youth and families. Marlee has had the privilege of serving youth as an early educator, case manager, advocate, and researcher prior to joining YSB. Marlee graduated from IU in 2016 with a BS in Applied Health Sciences with a focus on youth development and a minor in Health Sciences. In her free time, Marlee can be found knitting, crocheting, hiking, tending to her plants, or lounging with her husband and two dogs.

Brigitt Nasby, Shelter Outreach and Safe Place Coordinator

Brigitt Nasby is the Safe Place Coordinator for Monroe, Owen, and Greene counties through the Youth Services Bureau of Monroe County.  Brigitt studied Nonprofit Management while at IU and received her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs in 2015.  Although originally from Rush County, Indiana, Brigitt fell in love with the Bloomington community and its spirit of generosity and acceptance.  She has felt fortunate to serve youth and her community through Safe Place since beginning at YSB in 2017.

 

Besides educating the community on Safe Place program, Brigitt enjoys actively participating in her community by supporting local businesses and agencies.  In her personal time, she and her chocolate lab mix Lucy are often found hiking and playing Frisbee.
