Limestone Heritage Project
The Monroe County Historic Preservation Board has officially launched the Limestone Heritage Project website; http://www.monroecountylimestoneheritage.com. It has been shared our Facebook page and with out partners. We will be do print marketing soon and we are happy to provide you with some of those materials if you’d like - please contact Jackie Nester (E: jnester@co.monroe.in.us) for this request.
The website has a lot to offer, including downloadable curriculum documents for elementary school teachers, from kindergarten to sixth grade http://www.monroecountylimestoneheritage.com/curriculum/. The goal is to help Indiana students and teachers learn about the natural resources of our state. Please check out the site and as always feel free to provide feedback. All links and logos should be accurate and working; helpful links are under Resources-Partners.
Also, if you have ideas for other resources to connect to, are aware of resources like written materials we might upload, or have ideas for how to expand the project involving students or those in the community, please let us know.
Thank you for being a part of this project!
