The Monroe Circuit Court is proud to announce that three probation officers will be representing Monroe County at the State and/or National level. The nomination to serve on either a State or National committee is an honor that exemplifies the quality and professionalism of the probation officers employed by Monroe County.
HPRP stands for the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program. The purpose of the HPRP Program is to provide homelessness prevention assistance to households who would otherwise become homeless, many due to the current economic crisis, and to provide assistance to rapidly re-house persons who are homeless.
Attention-getting slogans are currently being displayed on table tents in dorm cafeterias and in other areas around the Indiana University campus. They put a new twist on the usual prevention message by not just urging caution for potential student victims, but also targeting potential perpetrators. In addition, they help publicize a series of educational events sponsored by the Office of Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Chris Gaal entitled “Blame It On The Alcohol? The Truths, Myths and Laws of Sexual Assault.”
