VERNAL PIKE

Reconstruction

HARTSTRAIT ROAD TO STATE ROAD 37 - This multi-phased project entails the reconstruction of the existing pavement, improving drainage, and construction of sidewalk. Traffic will be maintained throughout construction. The first phase of the project, from Hartstrait Road to Vernal Pike, is anticipated to be bid in September of 2006, depending entirely on availability of Federal funds. The project is currently under design and will be followed by Right-of-Way acquisition. The final phase, from Vernal Pike to State Road 37, will follow in 2010.

PAVEMENT STRIPING PROGRAM

Safety

The striping program will begin in May of 2010. The condition of the pavement markings on various roads throughout the County will be assessed for the need to improve the markings.
