Notice to Bidders
Sealed bids for the items listed below will be received at the Monroe County Auditor’s Office, Monroe County Government Center, Suite 216, Showers Facility, 501 N. Morton Avenue, Bloomington, Indiana 47404, until 11:30 A.M. E.S.T., on Monday, April 9, 2012 and will be opened and read aloud immediately thereafter by representatives of the Monroe County Highway Department in the Monroe County Government Center, Suite 100A. Any bid received after this time will be returned unopened. Bids transmitted by facsimile machine or e-mail will not be accepted.:

IN PLACE BITUMINOUS MIXTURES – MISCELLANEOUS LOCATIONS
BIDDER shall provide cost to furnish the bituminous mix complete laid in place for new surfacing or resurfacing, including all materials, paving and compaction equipment, labor, supervision and trucking per ton of material. These locations have not been determined.

Mobilization to a job site shall be included in the unit costs above.
IN PLACE BITUMINOUS MIXTURES – SPECIFIC LOCATIONS
BIDDER shall provide cost to furnish the bituminous mix complete laid in place as specified in the attachment of the bid packet. Specific locations are noted in said packet. Specifications for these projects are in the bid packet. Individual locations shall be quoted separately.
PAVER RENTAL
Bidder shall provide the cost of Paver Rental plus operator per ton of material.
OTHER INFORMATION
Copies of the Instructions to Bidders, the Specifications, and all necessary bid forms may be obtained from the Auditor’s Office.
All Bids must be accompanied by (1) certified check, or (2) a bid bond payable to the Monroe County Treasurer, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The certified checks and bonds of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned to them upon award of the contract to the successful bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, or portion of the Bid, and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days, or as otherwise stated in the Contract Documents before awarding the contract.
All out-of-state corporations must have a certificate of authority to do business in the State. Application forms may be obtained by contacting the Secretary of State, State of Indiana, Statehouse, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
All bidders shall comply with Chapter 255 of the Monroe County Code, the Responsible Bidder Ordinance.
