Allison Zimpfer-Hoerr, MSW, LCSW Clinical Coordinator

Allison Zimpfer-Hoerr is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University in Oregon.  Allison has served in several capacities at Youth Services Bureau since 2010, including Counselor, Community Education & Training Coordinator, and Prevention Coordinator.  She has worked with youth and families for over 15 years in a variety of roles, including foster care caseworker, clinician, and advocate. She is a core team member for Building a Thriving Compassionate Community (BTCC), Project Manager for Monroe County’s Healthiest Cities and Counties Challenge team, and mentor for the Monroe County Youth Council.  She is also a foster parent and volunteers locally with Thriving Connections, League of Women Voters, and Planned Parenthood.  


Shaleen Guthrie, MSW, Counselor

Shaleen Guthrie, MSW, earned her Bachelor degree in Social Work from Indiana University. She received her Master degree in Social Work from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).  Her past work experience includes educating students on the impact of dating violence and offering youth the sills and resources to help themselves or friends in abusive dating relationships. She has also worked with adults battling addictions, in which she facilitated client’s use of family, social and community resources. Shaleen joined the Youth Services Bureau staff in May 2016 and she is passionate and committed to advocacy that increases the well-being of at-risk youth and their families. Shaleen’s volunteer experience includes, Big Brother Big Sister, Stepping Stones and Shalom Community Center.

 Stacy Meadows, CSW, Counselor

Stacy Meadows is a Certified Social Worker in the state of Kentucky. She has an MSSW from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Spalding University. She completed the Public Child Welfare Certification Program and then worked for the local Department for Community Based Service conducting intake and investigations on allegations of child abuse and neglect. She then spent two years working in Dudley, West Midlands, United Kingdom as a social worker for Children’s Specialist Division Referral and Assessment team working with families in need and child protection cases. For the past 6 years, Stacy was a case manager for the YMCA Safe Place Services Street Outreach Program in Louisville, KY. At National Safe Place Network, she worked with Family and Youth Services Bureau’s Runaway and Homeless Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center (RHYTTAC) as the Evidence Based Practice/Outcome Specialist.  She was responsible for keeping up with current trends in the field of runaway and homeless youth, evidence-based practices, and research relevant to that population and the agencies that provide services. Stacy provided logistical support for HTR3 webinars as well as surveys and evaluations for events.Stacy joined YSB as a Counselor in March of 2017.



Nicholas Ackerman, Bachelor of Arts, Case Manager

Nicholas earned his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2013. Prior to working at Youth Services Bureau, he worked for the Monroe Circuit Court Probation Department of Monroe County for two years. He has been in his current position as Case Manager since August of 2016. Case Manager is the second position Nicholas has held at Youth Services Bureau. Previously, he worked as a Residential Specialist as a part of the direct care staff.
