Many veterans use the DAV Van to get to their appointments at Roudebush VA Medical Center.  In order to keep providing this service we need a veteran to volunteer for the position of coordinator.  There is also a shortage of drivers and right now one of the drivers is also filling in as van coordinator.

This week Baron Hill’s office forwarded us a press release and fact sheet from VA about a new Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) regulation that will reduce the evidence required to file for service connection for PTSD.

As a veteran there are things you can do to prevent delays in processing your claim even before the systemic changes are fully in place.  Providing proof that a disability is service connected is key to a successful claim.
 

Veterans' Affairs has made it easier for Gulf War Veterans to receive benefits.

From September 11, 2001 through September 30, 2008, many service members were involuntarily extended on active duty because of stop-loss.  In other words, service members were kept on active duty beyond their contractual release date.
