The Monroe County Health Department has trained tobacco educators who can help you quit!
As part of the Monroe County Tobacco Coalition, the educators provide cessation classes through the IU Health Bloomington Hospital sponsored Beat Tobacco program as well as in the community.

UPDATE: The Monroe County Health Board presented the recommended revisions to the smoking ordinance to include ENDS to the County Commissioners meeting on 2/17/17. The result was 2 votes against and one abstention. Click here for a link to the news story from the Herald Times: http://bit.ly/2lEjlr6

The Bloomington City Council will be hearing public comment on April 12th, 2017 regarding adding ENDS to the city smoking ordinance and final vote will be on April 19th, 2017. Please come out and show your support!

At the July 15th Health Board meeting, Health Department staff provided input on including Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) in Chapter 370 "Smoking in Public Places" (See recommended revisions here).
