The Monroe County Public Health Clinic is a collaboration between Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital and the Monroe County Health Department.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone six months of age and older get a flu shot each year. Because flu can occur at any time, it is recommended to get the vaccine as soon as it is available each fall.
Flu shots are:
- $20 for seasonal flu injection
- $30 for flu mist or high-dose flu vaccine (for those 65 and older)
Walk-ins (no appointment neccessary) for flu shots are accepted Wednesday from 8:30 am - 11:30am, or you can call 812-353-3244 to make an appointment Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.
The Public Health Clinic provides screenings for
- high blood pressure
- blood sugar
- head lice
- Hemoglobin A1C / Pre-Diabetes screenings
They also provide immunizations for children. Adult immunizations are available for private pay only.
The clinic offers health and wellness assessments and communicable disease education.
