2010 Property Tax Payments

The spring installment is tentatively due May 10 2010 .  The Treasurer's office expects to mail tax bills in mid April.

Please be aware of a new Homestead verification form included with the bill that needs to be completed and returned to the Monroe County Auditor.  The form will be printed on pink paper to make it easy to identify.  A letter from Cathy Smith will be included to explain this form a and why the state is requiring our office to send it to you.

The Fall installment due date will be Nov. 10, 2010.

Payments will receive a 5% penalty after the due date for 30 days, if there are no past due delinquent taxes.  If a payment is received after 30 days the penalty will increase to 10%.  If you have delinquent taxes from prior years after the due date, your property will not receive the grace period of 30 days and so will receive a 10% penalty immediately.

This page will be updated as new information becomes available.  If you would like to make an advance payment, we will accept these in any of the methods discussed on the payment options page.
