Monroe County Justice Building
301 N. College Avenue, Bloomington, IN 47404 The Monroe Circuit Court is a Unified
court with seven divisions. We handle every category
of case that can be filed; from traffic violations to
serious felonies, from small claims to corporate
receiverships, and cases of individuals and families at
every stage of life's existence. As a unified court
we manage the system as a whole, with one budget, an
Office of Court Services and a Probation Department.
The Clerk's Office assists the Circuit Court Judges in the execution of their
judicial duties by preparing, recording, and maintaining court documents. The
Clerk's Office also manages the Court's docket and traffic court. Case-related
information and court documents are provided to state, local, and federal
agencies as well as to the general public, attorneys,
litigants, and the media. The Monroe County Correctional Center
(Jail) is located in the Justice Building at 301 N.
