Materials and Waste Control
The Monroe County Health Department's hazardous materials
and waste control program provides consultations with owners
and operators of permitted Resource Conservation and
Recovery Act (RCRA) facilities in Monroe County, and coordinates with the Indiana Department of Environmental
Management (IDEM), Emergency Response Section, regarding complaints
relating to hazardous material spills/releases into the
environment in Monroe County.
