In 2008 The Monroe County Council established a fund from which it makes grants to support various community projects.  Resolution 2008-51

Food, security, health, and shelter Transportation Climate Change Emergency shortages First responders Veterans Excellence in Government

Application Process Schedule and Deadlines:
	Pre-Application Meeting Monday, August 17, 2009
	The Deadline for application submission is Friday, September 4, 2009.

Evaluation Criteria:
	Programs must primarily serve Monroe County Residents Likelihood that the dollar amount sought will accomplish the stated goal of the proposal Leveraging of additional funds or assistance Support for operational expenses will be considered, but not given highest priority

The Community Services Grants Review Committee is composed of five  members.  Three are representatives from the County Council.  Two citizen members are public appointments.  The 2009 committee consists of:
