Program helps juveniles take responsibility
Grads of Aggression Replacement Training learn to look at themselves, change
June 22, 2007

One had problems at home, the other simply made the wrong choices. Their lives, though, are hopefully turning around, this time for the better. Those two, and six other juveniles, graduated Thursday afternoon from Aggression Replacement Training. The program is run through the Monroe County Probation Department and teaches youths how to deal with problems in a nonconfrontational way.

Monroe County's Indiana Family Project receives national recognition

The Indiana Family Project, a collaborative effort between the Center for Adolescent and Family Studies at Indiana University Bloomington, Monroe Circuit Court, Monroe County Probation Department and Monroe County Community Corrections, has received 2007 national recognition from the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice as a top 20 exemplary program for diverting youth in the juvenile justice system.
