The Civil Division of the Clerk's office is responsible for Dissolutions of Marriage, Protective Orders, Felonies, and Juvenile Cases, including Adoptions and Paternity suits.


General Information

  • Uncontested Divorces:
    Sample forms are available at the Monroe County Public Library, and will need to be retyped before filing with the court.
    You must have copies of the following when filing:
    - Petition for Dissolution (1 original and 2 copies)
    - Decree of Dissolution (1 original and 2 copies)
    If Child Support is to be received, the decree of dissolution must include the following statement:
    Payor of Support must pay an annual docket fee to the Clerk pursuant to IC 33-19-6-5
