2009 Tax Bill Estimator

About This Tool:
The Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF), in partnership with the Indiana Business Research Center (IBRC) at Indiana University, has created the below tax bill projection utility for Indiana taxpayers. This tool will allow you to enter your property’s assessed value, taxing district, and possible deductions to see an estimated tax bill. All information is for taxes due and payable in 2009.

To view prior tax bill data, click here: http://www.in.gov/dlgf/4929.htm

To Calculate an Estimate of Your Bill:
Select a tax district from the dropdown box at the top of the form. The district numbers match the district number you receive on your bill. Enter an assessed value for the property. Next select any deductions that may apply to the parcel by either clicking on the checkboxes, or entering an amount in the 'Other Deductions' text box. Finally, click on the 'Calculate This Bill' button to get an estimated bill.

To Learn More About Deductions:

The figures provided by this tool are estimates only and should not be taken as a statement of true tax liability.

Please note that local property tax replacement credit, state homestead credit (HEA 1001-2008), and CEDIT homestead credit rates are ESTIMATES ONLY. These figures are calculated by the County Auditor and certified before final tax bills are mailed.

*NOTICE:  If the homestead deduction is selected, this tax bill estimator assumes that 100% of the entered assessed value is eligible for the homestead deduction and credits. Indiana law states that only the value of the primary residence, plus a maximum of one (1) acre of land, is eligible for the homestead deduction and applicable credits.  Be advised that if your property contains more than this amount of land, your actual tax bill will likely be higher than what is estimated here.
